Professional Bio
Sameea Butt is the founder of Built by Skill and brings more than a decade of experience in workforce development, graduate-level training in workforce policy, and expertise in data-driven, skills-based hiring. Her work helps employers identify the skills, judgment, and work habits that drive success while strengthening hiring and workforce practices.
The Council of Industry has engaged Sameea and Built by Skill to lead its Workforce and Talent Solutions Pilot, a 12-month initiative supporting Hudson Valley manufacturers. Sameea works directly with participating companies to assess workforce needs, develop customized hiring action plans, improve recruiting practices, and identify critical skill needs. Insights from this work will also help the Council better understand regional workforce trends and develop stronger resources for manufacturers throughout the Hudson Valley.
