Advanced Manufacturing Task Force of Westchester County

The Advanced Manufacturing Task Force of Westchester County is led by Westchester County Economic Development's Bridget Gibbons and is co-facilitated by the Council of Industry.

This task force invites Westchester County manufacturing executives to work in partnership with the County to build an ecosystem that supports the manufacturing sector, including developing a skilled workforce to meet the evolving demands of advanced manufacturing in the region.

Our next meeting will be held in person at Sun Chemical in Peekskill and will feature:

• A facility tour
• A presentation by a special guest on an exciting new partnership the County is Announcing
• A discussion focused on resources, workforce development, and solutions to support manufacturers in Westchester County.

Sun Chemical’s Peekskill site specializes in the production of effect pigments used across a variety of applications, including inks, coatings, plastics, and cosmetics. Their work in advanced materials and sustainable solutions supports critical industries and highlights the innovation happening right here in Westchester. This visit offers a unique opportunity to see firsthand the processes behind these essential materials and to engage with peers in advancing the region’s manufacturing ecosystem.
