Guest Information
As part of our mission to strengthen the manufacturing community and increase member value, we encourage directors to invite guests to board meetings. There is no charge for potential members, new members, educators, or community stakeholders when the intent is to grow relationships and expand the Council’s reach.
When appropriate and if space allows, we may also welcome guests from your company — particularly when agenda topics are relevant to their role or when the intent is to cultivate future relationships. There is a meal cost for company guests, which will be visible during registration. If you have someone in mind, please reach out — we’re happy to discuss the best approach.

Guest Speaker
Dana Politis, Deputy Commissioner for Workforce Development
Dana Politis serves as the Deputy Commissioner for Workforce Development at the New York State Department of Labor, where she oversees nearly 100 Career Centers and leads statewide initiatives to strengthen New York's workforce. She is committed to ensuring all New Yorkers have access to the training, skills, and opportunities needed to succeed in the jobs of the future. Dana will share key findings from the Department of Labor's recent Job Seekers and Business Leaders Surveys, providing valuable insights into workforce trends, employer hiring needs, and the priorities of today's job seekers and employers.
Ms Politis will present the results of the Department’s annual surveys of Job Seekers and Business Leaders. The 2 surveys, conducted in parallel, provide a glimpse into the diverging perspectives and expectations of people looking for work and those seeking workers. Ms. Politis will share the results as well as her insights. She is also interested to learn what Council of Industry Directors think of the results and discuss improvements to the State’s workforce programs.
