High School Open House at GAP Distribution – Fishkill

Thursday, March 5, 2026
9:00 AM - 1:00 PM (EST)

Event Details

The Council of Industry, in partnership with GAP Distribution, invites local school districts to take part in a High School Open House designed to connect students with STEM-driven careers in modern distribution, logistics, and supply chain operations.
Students will tour the GAP Distribution facility in Fishkill, seeing warehouse automation, robotics, and advanced material-handling systems in action.
Gap has been heavily focused on automation and robotics, including investing $58 million to support these technologies at one of its largest facilities. Automation and robotics support high-volume fulfillment, improve efficiency and safety, and increasingly rely on engineering, data, and technical skill sets.
This tour will teach students about a wide range of career opportunities, from technical and maintenance roles to operations, engineering-supported functions, corporate and headquarters positions, and store-level pathways, during this tour.
