Organization Overview
The Council of Industry is pleased to partner with the Community Colleges in the Hudson Valley to develop and implement a Regional Workforce Development Strategy for the manufacturing sector.
This strategy includes:
Growing apprentice programs and related instruction
Developing industry pathways
Curriculum development
Supporting internships
Custom workplace training
Dutchess Community College's Office of Workforce Development & Continuing Education serves thousands of individuals each year through a variety of non-credit classes in areas including career preparation, workforce and professional development, high school equivalency, English as a Second Language class, and group and private music instruction and youth programs. Many new online options have been added as we adjust towards a more remote environment, including those which offer certifications upon completion.
The Office also provides customized workforce training to local business and industry and partners with Dutchess County on economic development initiatives.
