2026 Annual Luncheon & Manufacturing Expo
Join us on Friday, November 20, at The Grandview in Poughkeepsie for the Council of Industry's Annual Luncheon & Manufacturing Expo - an opportunity to connect with manufacturers, suppliers, and industry partners from across the Mid-Hudson Region. The Manufacturing Expo will take place from 11:00 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. During the luncheon, we will recognize the Winter and Spring 2026 Certificate in Manufacturing Leadership recipients, celebrating individuals who have invested in developing the skills needed to lead the future of manufacturing.
The Expo provides manufacturers and businesses that serve the manufacturing industry with a valuable opportunity to showcase their products, services, and capabilities while building relationships. within the Council community. There is no additional fee to exhibit; participating companies are simply asked to purchase two luncheon seats.
Keynote Speaker:
Neal Moriarty, IBM's Innovation Studio Leader & Senior Quantum Ambassador, is a technology strategist with expertise in emerging technologies, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, and quantum computing. Throughout his career, he has worked with organizations to better understand the practical applications of new technologies and their potential impact on business and industry.
At this year's luncheon, Neal Moriarty will discuss the current state of quantum computing and what manufacturers should know as the technology continues to develop.
For more than 117 years, the Council of Industry has been the voice of the Hudson Valley’s manufacturing community, bringing manufacturers together and providing the resources, connections and support they need to grow, adapt and remain competitive. Building on that mission, the Council has earned designation as the Manufacturing Extension Partnership (MEP) Center for the Mid-Hudson region, expanding its capabilities to help manufacturers strengthen their workforce and leadership, improve operations, adopt new technologies and access the expertise and resources they need to succeed.

Neal Moriarty
Cornelius (Neal) Moriarty III, P.E. is a senior manager at IBM leading the IBM Innovation Studio team in Poughkeepsie, N.Y. which specializes in showcasing IBM’s cutting-edge hardware and software for current and prospective clients from around the world.
Neal is also an IBM Senior Quantum Ambassador, leads the US East Region for that program, and educates clients and the public about IBM’s quantum computing technology and the amazing advances it could bring to the world over the coming years. Before joining IBM 10 years ago, Neal spent 15 years in the electric and natural gas industry, holding various leadership and engineering positions.
Neal received his Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Clarkson University, his Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, and holds a Professional Engineer’s License for New York State. Neal has called the Hudson Valley his home since 2001, is raising three boys (20, 15, 13) in the Millbrook area, and enjoys hockey, golf, sporting clays, traveling, bourbon, and spending time with friends and family.
