From Industry to Instructor: Teaching for Professionals

If you’ve ever thought about sharing the knowledge and experience you’ve gained professionally, please join us for an “info session” about part-time teaching at Rockland Community College. We’ll help you discover how to convert your professional career into practical teaching skills in the classroom. Participants will learn techniques for teaching college-level courses. The program consists of four 90-minute mandatory courses. There is no cost for participants.

MICROCREDENTIALS

Microcredentials will be issued to students upon successful completion of coursework and who meet the minimum grade proficiency identified on the webpage for the microcredential. The award is listed on the student’s transcript to present to employers and a digital badge is issued to the student through Credly to display on social media platforms.

We offer stackable pathways to degree completion. A microcredential prepares a student for entry level positions in an industry and can be used to upskill to be competitive in the job market. Many of our microcredentials stack into a degree to help to reach degree completion faster.
